Nayan Mohapatra

CEO


Nayan is a former management consultant. He worked on projects that included launching new products, M&A, and corporate VC. His work focused on emerging technology in the telecom and media spaces. Nayan more recently worked in strategy for a national education non-profit, helping launch new programs like an Edtech incubator.  He holds an MBA from Columbia University and BS in economics from  George Washington University.

Bob has a wide range of experience developing innovative 2D and 3D graphics products. He developed a paint and 2D animation system at Symbolics. Bob then directed software development at Nichimen Graphics, where his group created the Mirai 2D/3D animation system and the Nendo 3D modeler. He subsequently worked at AT&T Labs Research, where he initiated the WordsEye text-to-scene research project. Bob received his Bachelor's degree from Columbia University, studying Computer Science and English Literature. He completed a Ph.D. in Computer Science (computational linguistics) at Columbia and is currently an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Columbia.

Morgan completed a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Natural Language Processing at Columbia University. She has an extensive background in computational linguistics and in building NLP tools for a wide variety of purposes. During her Ph.D., she used an early version of WordsEye to study endangered languages, including Arrernte (central Australia) and Nahuatl (southern Mexico and Central America). Morgan received her Bachelor’s Degree (summa cum laude) from Cornell University where she double majored in Computer Science and Linguistics.

Daniel completed a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Natural Language Processing at Columbia. His research focuses on analyzing language meaning in the context of graphical scenes and other real-world settings. He holds an MSc degree in Language Science and Technology, a BSc in Cognitive Science, and is an experienced software developer. He currently teaches at Columbia.

Gary has worked in and out of world-class technology labs and design firms. He served as a strategic designer within AT&T Labs Research and as Principal Experience Designer for the world-acclaimed architecture firm Rockwell Group. Gary has designed the Disney World parade, hospitality experiences for Marriott, banking experiences for Citibank, on-demand learning models for IBM, kiosks for intelligence agencies, and innovation labs for Coca-Cola. He has recently served as Strategic Designer in Residence at Cornell Tech and works with Delos on Innovation Strategy. He is the illustrator of the best-selling "French for Cats" humor book series and co-authored a graphic novel-style mass market business book entitled “Everyday Superheroes” that’s due out in February ‘22.
